The new service has been designed to fulfil the validation requirements of regulations EC 208/2006 and offers:

  • Advice and consultancy on validation testing.
  • Validated preparation of protocols, samples and testing canisters.
  • Delivery and collection of sample canisters to and from site.
  • Sample testing and validation report submission.
  • On-going regular compost sample testing

The launch took place at the recent annual conference of the Association for Organics Recycling (Afor 2011) in Birmingham lead by the Head of Scientific Services for VLA Scientific, Nicholas Reed. He explains:

“There was significant interest in the new service at the conference as the new regulations gives customers flexibility in their process design. We hope that this service will offer them a comprehensive range of services to enable them to efficiently achieve approval for their processing plants. I welcomed the opportunity to meet Lord Henley, Parliamentary under Secretary of State, Defra and Mike Orr, the Chair of AfOR, to discuss the features of our new service and to celebrate the launch”.

Lord Henley attended the event and delivered the keynote address on ‘The significance of organics recycling in the sustainability and recycling agenda.’
