
VLA is committed to both external and internal training for its staff, and is recognised as an Investor in People.
We are also recognised as an expert in the field of veterinary public health and contribute to many forms of training outside the Agency. Examples include delivering lectures at universities, speaking at conferences, advising policy-makers and providing study placements.
VLA is one of three collaborating institutes delivering a new masters degree in Global Health: Pathogens and Policy.
The course addresses public and animal health issues and international policy relevant to global health, including policy issues arising from climate change and poor governance.

The BSc Veterinary Bioscience programme at the University of Surrey is being run with the AHVLA and the Institute for Animal Health (IAH).
