VLA Scientific

Aims to generate a profit from its services to invest in key areas of VLA. For further information, see the VLA Scientific website .

Emerging Disease & Welfare

Provides scanning surveillance data on endemic diseases and animal welfare of farmed livestock, birds and wildlife. It detects and assesses exotic and novel disease conditions. The disease surveillance reports are the main output from this programme.

Food & Environmental Safety

International Trade

Provides a portfolio of tests to ensure that exported and imported animals and their products are free from specific diseases. For further information, see our web pages on imports & exports.

Seedcorn

Develops new areas of scientific research through inward investment.

Statutory & Exotic Bacteria

Test Development

Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies
