Network of Animal Disease Infectiology Research (NADIR)

VLA is a partner in the Network of Animal Disease Infectiology Research (NADIR) EU FP7 project. The project has the strategic aim to realise the potential European leadership in animal infectiology by bringing together all of the 14 animal facilities in Europe capable of working at category 3 and above with farm animals.

The project has three main work programmes

1. Networking and co-ordination between the 14 participating facilities.
2. A research programme relating to high containment diseases.
3. Transnational access.  NADIR will fund farm animal experiments in category 3 and 4 containment.
