Arbo-Zoonet is an international network for capacity building for the control of emerging viral vector borne zoonotic diseases.

CoVetLab is a European communication and collaboration network consisting of five national reference veterinary laboratories, including VLA.

European Virus Archive

The European Virus Archive project aims to create a European network of high calibre centres with the appropriate expertise to collect, characterise, authenticate, distribute and track mammalian and other exotic viruses.

InterAct

InterAct is a unique partnership between VLA and three other leading UK Government research organisations. It offers the opportunity for companies, with interests in acquiring new technologies to collaborate with research scientists.

Interlab

Interlab is a collaborative agreement between six Public Sector Research Establishments (PSREs) from across Government. Acting in the best interest of the public, the agreement promotes knowledge sharing across the PSREs. This includes emergency response and disease control.

Med-Vet-Net Association

Med-Vet-Net Association replaces the former Med-Vet-Net Network which was funded by the European Union until 2009. The Association continues to work on the control and prevention of zoonoses for the benefit of public health.

The Network of Animal Disease Infectiology Research (NADIR) aims to realise the potential European leadership in animal infectiology by bringing together all of the 14 animal facilities in Europe capable of working at category 3 and above with farm animals.

National Mastitis Group

The NMG provides a forum for organisations involved in the diagnosis, surveillance and control of mastitis and the production of high quality milk supplies. Although the group remains informal, its broad stakeholder membership provides a consensus capable of influencing Government and Industry policy in this area.
