The Administration & Commercial Division provides support for the Agency's key aims and major programmes of work.

| Commercial | Under the brand VETQAS, the Quality Assurance Unit at Sutton Bonington provides External Quality Assessment (EQA) schemes to VLA and private veterinary laboratories. The Scientific Services Unit provides laboratory services to help manufacturers with product development, market authorisation, licensing and batch release testing. The Business Unit supports the marketing of commercial projects and provides a sales and export service for VLA's biological reagents. For further information, see the VLA Scientific website. |
| Corporate Planning & Communications | Provides information and communication services such as the Library, records management, web services, event and conference organisation and photography. |
| Customer Accounts & Programme Support | Provides financial and project management support for the science programmes. |
| Estates Management | Co-ordinates the management of VLA's facilities including contract management, redevelopment at Weybridge and sustainable development. |
| IT Unit | Supports VLA's IT systems and network including laboratory management systems. The current IT/IS strategy is published annually on the website as pdfs. |
| Human Resources | Manages recruitment, performance management and pay. Other responsibilities include the provision of training, health and welfare support, equal opportunities and diversity. |
| Finance & Procurement | Provides accounting and purchasing services for VLA. The following documents are pdfs. |
