Development of new diagnostic tests

BoviLAT and CapriLAT latex tests

BoviLAT and CapriLAT are rapid tests for the detection of antibodies in CBPP and CCPP affected animals.

These tests can be done in the field to diagnose these diseases so animals can be isolated and treated to prevent further spread.

They have been validated in our laboratory and are now available in kit format from the Sales desk (see contact details below) .

Avian Immunoblot Test

Immunoblotting tests are used to detect the presence of proteins (antigens) using labelled antibodies. They are a specific and sensitive test for identifying a range of mycoplasma species.
