Animal Health and VLA merge to form a new agency

VLA has merged with Animal Health to create a new agency, Animal Health and Veterinary Laboratories Agency (AHVLA).  Work is in progress on a new AHVLA website and in the meantime the former Animal Health and VLA websites remain in place.

Cattle on active Approved Finishing Units in England, which have been traced from a holding on which there has been a new TB breakdown, will no longer require any testing for tracing purposes, unless a Veterinary Risk Assessment deems such testing necessary.
